In any case, this fun, and quite powerful, demographic accounts for an estimated US$170 billion in worldwide spending power. Statistics show 8–12-year-olds spend US$30 billion of their own money annually and influence another US$150 billion of their parents’ spending each year (wikipedia.org.).  That’s a lot of spending power!
