Duck & Wine Festival

Tomorrow is the Duck & Wine Festival at the Waterfront Shops! It’s going to be bigger and better than last year!

Twenty Area Chefs and Restaurants will be showcasing Duck paired with their featured wine. April 24th Saturday 12 pm to 3 pm. Live Music starts @ 1:30 on the Waterfront Shops in Duck, NC Proceeds benefit the Currituck-Dare Community Foundation and other local nonprofits. Almost 500 tickets have been sold! It’s sure to be a mouth watering event!

And what will we be doing to celebrate? When you present your Festival ticket stub we’ll give you 10% off your entire purchase – Saturday only. PLUS a special Lilly Printed Wine Bag when you spend $250 or more! Who wouldn’t want this cute little gift?!

As Lilly Pulitzer continues through it’s seasonal inspirations; Resort ’09 – “The Ocean and Its Creatures”, Spring ’10 -”Endangered Species” , and into Summer ’10 “Buy Local”, we should all take a minute to reflect on our own local communities. Located in a Resort town, Life’s A Beach on the Outer Banks, must also extend its “local community” to our visitors and guests who come to the beach during long weekends, holidays, and of course, the summer months. As small businesses continue to fall through tough economic times, we ask the customer/consumer of all products, to remember to BUY LOCAL and do your part to keep your local businesses established. The Latest at Life’s A Beach

With Easter gone and spring breaks still in full gear – Life’s A Beach has been buzzing! Last week we hosted an OBX SPCA Shop & Share event with great success! We were able to donate over $600 to their needs, we found a home for a pup, plus sent out two more adoption applications, and had two new volunteers sign up! Everyone had a great time and we look forward to our next local charity oppurtunity!

In other news: all spring is on the floor and we can hardly wait for summer! Stayed tuned for more details…

We finally have our new site up and running! Now in an attempt to keep you up to date on all the latest OBX PINK (and other) news, we hope you’ll follow along with our OBX PINK BLOG! We’d love to hear from you!

What’s coming up?? Easter of course! We all know that Lilly is your go to place for spring dresses and Mommy & Me outfits! Coming down to the Outer Banks for your Easter Weekend? We’d love to see you!

We are joining forces with this Roanoke Island SPCA the Thursday and Friday before Easter. Between the hours of 12-3 on April 1 & 2, the SPCA will be bringing some of their furry friends up to our deck in the Waterfront Shops to visit with customers and hopefully find a new home! We’ll have fun promos and snacks, PLUS, 10 % of all sales that Thursday and Friday will be donated to the Roanoke Island SPCA! So come out and support one of our most loved local organizations!
